Students can also benefit from taking a summer French immersion program at l'Université Laval, in Quebec City. The five week program gives students six credits that are transferable toward their French degree at UM-Presque Isle. To apply, please contact Marjorie McNamara.
A third option for students is to participate in our national and international Student Exchange Programs.
Through the University of Maine Partnership Maine France Exchange Program, students can receive up to 15 French credits per semester when they go and study at one of the four French University partners. The stay can be for one semester only, but no more than a year.
