RENAE MADORE, '96 turns a Jewelry Making Hobby to Celebrity Favorite
With one brother residing in Long Beach CA and another in Portland OR, it wasn't soon after Renae found herself on the west coast. She worked as a nanny for a little while in Oregon until she moved out to Palm Springs. After working in the medical field as a Medical Assistant and a Physical Therapy Aide for a few years, Renae found a teaching positon where she now teaches Physical Education and Health to students in Pre-K thru 8th grade and also serves as the Athletic Director at St. Margaret's Episcopal School in Palm Desert, CA. Renae also in her spare time is a massage therapist. Renae moved to the Gala Playground of Stars and Sand, Palm Springs. As a creative outlet, Renae started designing jewelry for herself. After receiving accolades from her Palm Springs supporters, she decided to take her innate given talent onto a larger stage, which meant offering her design talent to a local fan base. It was just a matter of time before word spread and Bijoux Chic, Renae's custom made jewelry business was off and running.
Renae's creative influence comes from the sophisticated lifestyle, majestic landscapes and the legendary glamor of Palm Springs. Many of her ideas are inspired by the trend setting style of the Southern California fashion scene. Designing with beautiful semiprecious gems, authentic stones and beads that embodies every jeweled piece, her designs carry an unparalleled sophistication and elegance and are truly eye-catching. The popularity of her unique style has given her the opportunity to customize individual fashion style of noted personalities - to name a recent few:

Born in Edmundston, N.B., Canada and raised in Madawaska, Maine Renae Madore was an avid athlete and in 1992 she decided to attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle and major in Physical Education. After playing soccer all four years, and basketball one year on campus and being one of the first students to have completed a teaching portfolio, she completed her student teaching both in St. Agatha and Presque Isle and graduated from UMPI in 1996.
Her love of fashion accessories and how it compliments an outfit has epitomized her classic style to become a jewelry designer that is influenced by timeless Hollywood glamour and high fashion. Renae states, "I'm very passionate about my jewelry. The imaginative and intricate effort needed to create each piece is very therapeutic and a wonderful way to express myself. The gratification I get seeing my pieces worn with as much pride and enjoyment as I had creating them and how each piece I designed accents and completes their sense of style -- is bliss."
