The University of Maine at Presque Isle has hundreds of internships listed in the Career Services Department in South Hall. Because there are so many internships that come in weekly, we post them in South Hall instead of on the internet. Please make an appointment withBonnie DeVaney as soon as possible to find out what internships you might qualify for.
For detailed information visit the employment section of the career library in South Hall. You will find the original job posting there and for some opportunities more detailed information on the employer. You may want to take advantage of other resources to help you prepare for the job search, including writing the resume, cover letter and interview. Videos are also available for viewing to improve your interview skills. For additional job listings be sure to check additional listings on MonsterTrak. Volunteer Opportunities
VESS is a volunteer program which places individuals in full-time professional service positions for one year. Volunteers respond to the economic, educational and spiritual needs of people througout Texas while gaining valuable leadership skills. VESS program offers several benefits including monthly stipend of $210/month for living expenses and food, and AmeriCorps education award eligibility ($4725 per year).

Peace Corps: Peace Corps is actively recruiting all majors for two-year volunteer assignments in almost 80 countries around the world. It is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in a challenging international job opportunity that will give them the skills to suceed in life and the challenge for them to grow as a person while making a difference in the lives of other.
In order to become a Peace Corps Volunteer an applicant must be 18 years or older; a U.S. citizen, have a Bachelors degree. Benefits include transportation, language, technical skill and cross-cultural training, a living allowance, full medical coverage and a $6,075 post service payment.
