International Students

John HarringtonWe designed this page to help you find important information about studying in the United States and specifically at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Here you will find information about immigration, employment, visas, and information to help you feel welcome at our university. We have tried to help you with the most common questions new students have. If you have additional questions not answered on this page please let us know and we will help you locate the answers you need. You are welcome to call or visit our office anytime.

Important - International Student Registration

Please complete the International Student Registration Form after you arrive on campus for every semester until you have graduated:

It is required that the university keep the records of all our international students updated in the government's SEVIS database that was used to issue your I-20. When you arrive at the beginning of each semester you will have to complete an International Student Registration Form so we may update your record and verify your arrival at school.

This is a very important procedure and must be done at the start of every semester. In addition to completing the form please bring us a copy of your I-94 (white card). You may fax, copy or scan this card.

You may complete the International Student Registration Form online, or you may visit South Hall to complete a paper form. You may also use this form to update your record at any time with changes to your address, phone, email, etc.
