Camp Invention is coming to UMPI this summer from August 1 to 5, 2016; camp will run each day from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This camp is for children entering 1st through 6th grade. The curriculum will be directed by Elaine Hendrickson and co-directed by Mary Lawrence. Students will brainstorm product ideas and build original prototypes using real tools and components found in everyday devices. They will also construct and personalize a DIY solar-powered cricket with a habitat, explore the lives of giant insects, colorful animals and their environments and discover the science of slime, demolition, electronic sound, giant squid and coding. The cost is $235 and you can register at campinvention.org. FMI, contact Elaine Hendrickson at email@example.com or Mary Lawrence at firstname.lastname@example.org or 768-9502.
