There’s a new winter hat available for loyal UMPI Owls fans, thanks to the UMPI Nordic Ski Team. These high quality beanies (with a pom-pom on top) are knit in UMPI Blue and Gold and feature the Owls Athletics logo on the front and the words “Maine Skiing” around the middle. According to Nordic Ski Coach Tim Whiton, the hats are available for sale in the UMPI Campus Store, from your friendly, neighborhood UMPI skiers, or from Whiton in the Admissions Office.
Skiers are selling the hats for $30 as a fundraiser for future equipment and travel needs–“especially,” Whiton said, “as our team expands significantly next season!”
The hats are a great way to represent UMPI on and off campus and while doing all your favorite winter activities. And once you have your hat, you’ll have the perfect gear for cheering on the UMPI skiers at their next event!
