New Ventures Maine will be offering a Career Planning class online that will run Jan. 18 to March 11 in Folsom 203. Registrations are due by Jan. 11. In the class, students will explore their work values and interests; find out where job opportunities will be; identify the skills, education, or training needed to launch a new career; and create a step-by-step plan to achieve their career goals. Assignments can be completed at each person’s pace.
They will also be offering My Money Works on Thursdays from Jan. 12 to Feb. 2 (4 sessions) from 5:30 – 8 p.m.; this class will be offered online. In this class, students will create a budget that works for you; explore wise use of credit; make a savings plan; and set financial goals. Both of these classes are offered at no cost.
