New Ventures Maine will be showing Katya Von Garnier’s movie Iron Jawed Angels on Friday, Oct. 14 from 1:30 – 4 p.m. in Folsom 105. The movie tells the remarkable and little known story of a group of passionate and dynamic young women, led by Alice Paul (Hilary Swank) and her friend Lucy Burns (Francis O’Connor), who put their lives on the line to fight for American women’s right to vote.
