New Ventures Maine will be holding three different classes in May. On Thursday, May 5 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., they will be offering Budgeting Basics at the Houlton Higher Education Center, where you will learn the basic components for building a budget and discuss money tracking, goal setting, and how having a sense of your overall financial situation can assist you in the process of building a budget. On Thursday, May 12 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., they will be offering Clean-up Your Credit, also at the Houlton Higher Education Center, where you will learn how to reduce your debt, improve your credit, and maintain a good credit score. Pre-registration is required by Monday, May 2. The third class is a money management series, My Money Works: Tools for Smart Money Choices on Wednesdays, May 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at UMPI in Folsom Hall, Room 203. Pre-registration for this series is required by Monday, May 2. There is no cost for any of these classes.
