VNA Hospice of Aroostook will host a facilitated conversation on the New York Times bestseller “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Allagash Room of UMPI’s Campus Center. In the book, Gawande examines his experiences as a surgeon, as he confronts the realities of aging and dying in his patients and in his family, as well as the limits of what he can do. Hospice physician Dr. David Jones and members of the Hospice and Palliative Care team will be present to listen to questions, provide answers and help you make a plan for the future.
