Room Selection

Listed below are the things you need to do if you are interested in living in University-owned residences.

Read the Residence Hall Guide and Student Handbook carefully. By signing the housing agreement, you will be held accountable for the information contained in these publications. Failure to read these publications does not relieve you of the need to abide by the information.

Please review the Room Selection guidelines here.

Fill out the appropriate housing agreement:

If you have difficulty utilizing the Housing Agreement online form, please download and print the PDF versions of the documents provided above, and mail in the completed form with the deposit as directed in the opening paragraph.

Single Room Accommodation Request Information:  The University has 10 single rooms that may be utilized to house students who need single rooms.  In order to obtain a single room, you will need to follow the instructions on this sheet.  Please print off and follow the directions provided.  When space permits, the University will sell off double rooms as single rooms.  Typically, this process does not occur in the fall academic period.

Residence Hall Cancellation Form:  If you wish to cancel your housing agreement, please fill out this online form. A printable cancellation form is available here.

If you wish, fill out the optional Religious Preference Card. The information will be forwarded to the appropriate religious leader.

Return the housing contract, a check for your Room Reservation/Damage Deposit Fee, and the Religious Preference Card (if you wish) to:

Residence Life Office
181 Main St.
Presque Isle, ME. 04769

Please make sure you are the person filling out your form. Housing assignments become more difficult if someone else fills out your form. Particular attention needs to be given to the smoking/non-smoking questions. An incorrect answer to these three questions may place you on a floor you may not want.
