History and Political Science, BA
History and political science course offerings treating international studies are broad in scope and deep in area concentration. Offered in conjunction with certificates of specialization awarded in Russian and East European Studies and Atlantic Community Studies, the course offerings emphasize the study of Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and Latin America. Coupled with study in history and foreign language, political science students achieve a rich understanding of countries in the inernational system. The political science concentration prepares students for numerous careers in the public and private sectors. More than 70 percent of the graduates of the political science program of UM-Presque Isle go on to graduate or law school study.
All candidates for the bachelor's degree must complete the General Education Curriculum.
