Advising

Each student in the Recreationa and Leisure Services Program is assigned to an advisor. While your advisor is available to discuss your educational and career options, the ultimate responsibility for graduating is your responsibility. Students should know at all times what classes they have taken and what classes they need to take to complete the program.

Core courses in Recreation and Leisure Services Major

All students majoring in Recreation/Leisure Services will be required to take the following core classes which will introduce them to the fields of recreation and leisure services. In addition to the recreation and general core classes, students will then complete credits  for their concentrations in outdoor recreation/leadership, community recreation or natural resource recreation management.

The total semester hours required for the degree is now 120 with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00. The cumulative grade point average required in courses in the major (including electives) and concentration area is 2.25. Students must also earn a C- or greater in all recreation courses required for the degree.
