Collaborations

The Recreation and Leisure Services Program at the University of Maine at Presque Isle is excited to share two unique relationshipps with other schools and colleges.

Students who study Adventure Recreation and Tourism at Washington County Community College located in Calais Maine can apply to the Department of Recreation/Leisure Services in the Outdoor Recreation/Leadership program with many of their credits transferring in the program.  To see a list of credits that will transfer check out our Transcript Analysis.  Students must apply through our Admissions process but their fee will be waived.  For more details feel free to contact Dr. Anja Whittington at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We are also pleased to announce a new collaboration with Jack Mountain Bushcraft School located in Masardis Maine.  Students studying there can transfer credits earned through the field school into the Outdoor Recreation/Leadership program upon acceptance or as a current students.   Credits are earned through Western Colorado College and students must apply to both the field school and Western Colorado in order to earn academic credit.
