The UMPI Office of Security and Safety along with the Presque Isle Police Department is responsible for law enforcement, security, and emergency police response at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. The office of Security and Safety is located at the Emerson Annex. The Presque Isle Police Department is located on North Street, downtown Presque Isle. The Office of Security and Safety can be reached by dialing 9580 from any campus telephone or by dialing 768-9580 off campus. The Presque Isle Police Department can be reached by dialing 8-911 on campus or 764-4476 off. The Office of Security and Safety responds to all reports of criminal action or emergencies and investigates the crime or initiates whatever action is necessary to resolve emergencies.
