“The University of Maine at Presque Isle is truly a special place filled with extraordinary people. I knew this fact from the time I arrived. Recently, I began to think about what it takes to have a successful college career. My roles as a Trustee of the University of Maine System and as a parent of two college students have lead me to ponder this question. The opportunities that were afforded me to try knew things, make mistakes, and build my confidence here have given me the tools I have needed at every step of my career and life. I ran for office with the support of our UM Presque Isle family, joined Rotary and turned a Political Science degree into a 24 year banking career.
