Building Confidence
Help assess your confidence and learn concrete tools to help build your confidence and keep it strong. This tuition-free class will be Tuesdays, Feb. 6, 13, & 20 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. in Preble Hall, Room 239.
Budgeting Basics
Learn the basic pieces for building a budget, including money tracking and goal setting. Create a budget that works for you. This tuition-free class will be Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1 – 3 p.m. at the Houlton Higher Education Center, Room 107.
Tax Readiness for the Self-Employed
Learn what you need in order to prepare your taxes. This tuition-free class will be Tuesday, Feb. 14, 4 – 6 p.m. at the HHEC, Room 107.
Business Basics
This class covers topics such as marketing and cash planning. Assess the feasibility, desirability and viability of your business/idea. This tuition-free class will be Thursdays, Feb. 22, March 1 and 8, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., at UMPI, Folsom Hall, Room 206.
Work for Yourself @50+
This workshop covers the pros and cons of owning a business, steps needed to get started and available resources. Targeted for 50 and older; supported by the AARP Foundation. This tuition-free class is Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1 – 3 p.m. and is offered online.
