The University of Maine at Presque Isle Red Cross Club will be hosting a spaghetti supper and auction in celebration of National Red Cross Month on Saturday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Center. Wear red and support the local Red Cross. Social and a review of auction items will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by supper at 6 p.m. and the auction at 7 p.m. The featured item for the auction is a red and white, queen size “Sweetheart Chain” quilt, donated by the Crown of Maine Quilters, valued at $1,000. The cost is $10 a ticket, $5 for students, and $25 for family. The menu is spaghetti with red or white sauce, green salad, bread, red and white punch and strawberry shortcake. Tickets are available at Aroostook County American Red Cross of Northern and Eastern Maine in Caribou, Goin’ Postal in Presque Isle, the UMPI Campus Store and from members of UMPI’s Red Cross Club. This event is sponsored by the University of Maine at Presque Isle Student Red Cross Club, the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Cary Medical Center. Snow date will be Sunday, March 13.
