The Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce honored local citizens for their contributions and Dixie Shaw, who graduated from UMPI in 1989, received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award. Shaw is the Director of Hunger and Relief Services for Catholic Charities Maine. She was honored for her commitment to alleviating hunger in Aroostook County.
