The Wintergreen Arts Center and the University of Maine at Presque Isle are celebrating Color Presque Isle 5K photography during the month of April with a special photo exhibit, Color Captured, which opened with a reception on April 1 during the First Friday Downtown Art Walk.
The work of local photographers—Dave Allen Graphics, Lasting Moments Photography, Peter Freeman Photography, and Sha-Lam Photography—who captured the first three Color Presque Isle 5K events are displayed at the Wintergreen Arts Center on State Street through the end of April. Members of the public were also invited to submit their photos to be judged for a chance to win a free early registration for the 2016 race.
The April 1 reception also provided the very first opportunity for people to register for the 2016 event. The cost of early registration is $30.00, and the first 250 people to register get free T-shirts at the August 27th event. Color Presque Isle 5K is a benefit event that combines fun, fitness, and the arts. All proceeds support arts programming in downtown Presque Isle.
