The Maine Drawing Project

The University of Maine at Presque Isle will be a participating institution in the Statewide collaborative, “The Maine Drawing Project” which will occur during 2011 at more than 20 institutions throughout Maine. The Reed Art Gallery at UMPI desires to showcase artists from Aroostook County with a juried exhibition entitled, “Just Line”.

Wind 101 on WLBZ

Come watch the story of our wind turbine unfold when Wind 101 airs on WLBZ-TV

Saturday, Sept. 18, 7:30 p.m.
Whooo's Hut, the student lounge in Folsom Hall

This half-hour film tells the story of how UMPI installed its 600 kW wind turbine on campus. The University is celebrating the broadcast by hosting a special viewing during Homecoming, so take this opportunity to mingle with alums and community members and share this proud UMPI moment.

This film was made by UMPI students in the recent screenwriting and filmmaking class taught by award-winning author Cathie Pelletier. Students worked with Hollywood cinematographer Zoran Popovic on the film.
