These numbers are based on UMPI's Asymptomatic Testing program. They do not reflect Active Cases or Quarantined individuals identified through other means.
If you’re looking for a quick overview before you check out the plan itself, here are the top 5 things you need to know:
We plan to start classes on Jan. 25 and provide on-campus offerings through May 7. Commencement is scheduled to take place on May 8.
There will be a phased return for residence hall students in August to allow for self-quarantine (Residence Life will send out details and dates in late July).
We will conduct COVID-19 testing weekly, starting in February, for those who will be on-campus for classes, work, or daily living.
Classes will be hybrid--simultaneously in-person and virtual--whenever possible.
Health safety practices will continue to be in place, from social distancing and face coverings to limiting group gatherings to 50 (or less, depending on the size of the room).
We want to emphasize that these are our plans right now, but that, due to the nature of this pandemic, all plans are subject to change.
