The University of Maine at Presque Isle is the home of the owls–and not just any type of owl, but the very beautiful and powerful Snowy Owl. This particular owl–with its regal bearing, its ability to thrive in the north, its patience and resourcefulness, and its desire to fiercely protect what it holds dear–is the perfect embodiment of who we are and serves as a symbol of our students’ growth throughout their education.
