The University of Maine at Presque Isle honored several employees for their years of service during the annual Employee Recognition reception held on May 25. Twenty-three employees were recognized for their combined 260 years of service to the University.
Recognized for 35 years of service was Florence Soucie.
Recognized for 25 years of service was Kim-Anne Perkins.
Recognized for 20 years of service was Linda Hickman.
Recognized for 15 years of service were Patti Hale, Joseph Moir, David Putnam, and Richard Zuras.
Recognized for 10 years of service were Mary Kate Barbosa, Michelle Cofske, Richard Gardiner, Shara Gardner, Lynnelle Lavway, Carol McGlinn, Jack Stewart, and Kevin Kilcollins.
Recognized for 5 years of service were Charlotte Durr, Alyre Levesque, Jr., Nancy Nichols, Vanessa Pearson, Christopher Rolon, Mark Woodman, Hyrum Benson, and Heather Sincavage.
During the Recognition Reception, officials also honored retiree Dick Harrison, Coordinator of Graphics and Photography.
“We owe a great deal of thanks to our dedicated and hard-working faculty and staff, as well as to our retiring employee–they have given many years of service, and, in some cases, the majority of their careers, to our campus,” UMPI President Linda Schott said. “Our employees work very hard every day to keep our campus running smoothly and efficiently. Due to their efforts, our campus community is stronger and our students are well served.”
