A Professional Development Short Course for People who are Young in their Careers

Looking for the skills that will bring you long-term success in your career? Then this leadership development opportunity is exactly what you've been looking for. Hosted by the University of Maine at Presque Isle, MMG Insurance, and Momentum Aroostook, the Young Professionals Institute helps participants hone their professional skills through hands-on activities, on-the-spot public speaking assignments, and business simulation exercises.

The 2013 Institute

This year's theme is Navigating the Workplace of the Future, with an exciting line-up of activities, projects, and special guests connected with the topic. Classes will be held on March 5, 12, 19, 26 & April 2, 9, 23, and 30, 2013.

Classes generally will take places on Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. in the UMPI Campus Center. However, participants will have several opportunities to travel to area businesses and organizations and complete on-site business simulation exercises. Class time will be expanded on 4/30 (from 4 to 7 p.m.) and potentially on one other date.
