The University of Maine at Presque Isle will be holding a Graduate School Fair on Thursday, Oct. 18 from Noon to 2 p.m. in the Owl’s Nest of the Campus Center. Hosted by the Student Activities Office and the Office of Career Readiness, the fair will include representatives from five graduate schools and provide students with the opportunity to begin networking with them. All are welcome to attend this free event.

The University of New England School of Social Work, Thomas College, UMaine Online, the University of Maine in Orono, and Husson University will be attending the event. According to organizers, the purpose of the fair is for students to explore graduate school options. Students will get the chance to learn about local graduate school programs and discuss different career options. There will also be information about how to apply for graduate school.

“Our hope is that people will take away an excitement for the possibility of furthering their education, maybe even with a contact or two,” Violet Washburn, UMPI’s Coordinator of Campus Engagement and International Student Services, said.
