BIO:

Artist Dylan Ouellette is currently completing his MFA in Ceramics at the Maine College of Art & Design. With a deep passion for the tactile nature of clay, Dylan explores the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design in his work.

Originally from Presque Isle, Maine, he developed an interest in ceramics during his undergraduate studies at UMPI, where he first experimented with various techniques and styles. His dedication to the medium and playful treatment of form led him to pursue further education, culminating in his current graduate studies. As founder of the Ceramic Project and faculty at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Dylan teaches courses in Foundations of Design, Ceramics and Sculpture, emphasizing hands-on learning and creative expression. He encourages students to push the boundaries of their artistic practice, fostering a collaborative environment that values innovation and experimentation.

Dylan has exhibited his work in various galleries and art shows throughout Maine, showcasing a range of ceramic pieces that reflect his unique artistic vision. His commitment to the craft is evident in both his studio practice and his teaching, where he inspires the next generation of ceramic artists to explore their creativity and develop their skills.
