The Reed Art Gallery at the University of Maine at Presque Isle is proud to announce the opening of a dynamic new exhibition showcasing the creative achievements of alumni from UMPI’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program. The exhibition, Roots and Wings: Celebrating the Work of UMPI Fine Arts Alumni will open Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, and remain on view through Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.

One thousand two hundred and seventy-eight students graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday, May 10, during the University’s 2025 Commencement Exercises—more than double the number of students who graduated last year and, for the second year in a row, the largest-ever graduating class in the institution’s history.
University of Maine at Presque Isle President Ray Rice has announced that Yellow Light Breen, President and CEO of the Maine Development Foundation (MDF), will deliver the commencement address.
