COVID case numbers have been increasing in our region and, to help keep everyone as safe as possible, we wanted to update you about a few things.
If you receive a positive asymptomatic COVID test result outside of UMPI’s asymptomatic testing program, or if you receive a positive symptomatic COVID test result through outside testing, we want to remind you that we are asking you to report your results to Fred Thomas (207-768-9580, frederick.thomas@maine.edu) or Tracy Rockwell at the Houlton Center (tracy.rockwell@maine.edu, 207-521-3100).
If you’re not feeling well, but still want to take part in your weekly COVID testing, please go to the Health Center to test instead your usual testing site (MMG Center, Houlton Center). This will help us to keep our main testing sites operating normally.
Finally, we want to make sure members of campus know that we have test kits for the flu available at the Health Center. If you want to take one of these tests, please connect with Linda Mastro, Director of Health Services, at 207-768-9586 or linda.mastro@maine.edu. With flu season approaching, we would also ask you to please consider getting an annual flu vaccine (this is highly encouraged).
