Local veterans will get a one-stop opportunity to learn about all the veterans benefits and programs available to them on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Campus Center when the members of the newly-organized UMPI Student Veterans Club host a Veterans Information Night. This free event is open to all veterans in Aroostook County.
Three hundred and eleven students at the University of Maine at Presque Isle have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester, according to Dr. Ray Rice, UMPI President and Provost.

She will read from her new book Alzheimer and Dementia Coaching: Taking a Systems Approach in Creating an Alzheimer’s Friendly Healthcare Workforce. This event is free and the public is invited to attend; refreshments will be served and attendees are encouraged to stop by early for a short social time starting at 12:45 p.m.
From soulful to brassy, the rich sounds of Motown will fill the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Auditorium in Wieden Hall when the Star City Syndicate performs a special fundraising concert on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. Admission is free for this high energy, family-friendly event, but donations of all sizes will be accepted at the door to benefit future renovations to the Auditorium in Wieden Hall.
Hypnotist Paul Ramsay will leave the crowd second-guessing when he performs his show “Mind Games”—billed as the first truly interactive stage hypnotism show in the world—at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
