Troupe members will provide a short talk-back for the audience after the show. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. at UMPI’s Gauvin Family Center for Cultural Arts in Wieden Hall, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Fact: A woman (Marie Van Brittan Brown), a nurse in Queens, was the first person to make a home security system. She designed it with her husband, an electrical technician, to ease her concerns about having conflicting work schedules with his and the unease she felt coming home late. The system was quite costly and intense to make and never widespread through homes, but it's cited in many of today's patents.
