The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present Maine-based writer and nonprofit director Marpheen Chann as the next speaker in its 2025-2026 Libra Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Campus Center and via Zoom. Chann will read from his memoir, Moon in Full: A Modern Day Coming-of-Age Story.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present educator and award-winning author Dr. Maureen Healy as the first speaker in its 2025-2026 Libra Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. in the Campus Center. During her talk, Strengthening Student Resilience and Emotional Health, Dr. Healy will share insights and observations from her best-selling book, The Emotionally Healthy Child.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present Homecoming 2025 from Sept. 25 to 28, featuring sporting events, the Snowy Owl Marketplace, a Tap Truck and Food Truck Festival, a Golf Scramble hosted by the Class of 1975, a performance of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown by the County Community Players, and much more! The Reed Art Gallery at the University of Maine at Presque Isle is proud to announce the opening of a dynamic new exhibition showcasing the creative achievements of alumni from UMPI’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program. The exhibition, Roots and Wings: Celebrating the Work of UMPI Fine Arts Alumni will open Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, and remain on view through Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.
