The primary purpose of the UMPI Board of Visitors (BOV) is to advocate for the University, advise the President of the University on community and regional needs, and review for final recommendations to the Trustees regarding tuition increases, new academic programs and the five-year plan of the University.
The BOV consists of up to 20 voting members who are appointed for 3-year terms and are recommended by the University President and confirmed by the Trustees.
