My Money Works
Create a budget that works for you, explore wise use of credit, make a savings plan, and set financial goals. This tuition-free class, to be held Mondays from 2 – 4:30 p.m. in Preble Hall room 239, from Oct. 30 – Nov. 27, is open to Maine adults and pre-registration is required.

Tax Readiness for the Self-Employed Workshop
New Ventures Maine will offer a free tax planning workshop at the Presque Isle Career Center, 66 Spruce St., Presque Isle on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. This one-session workshop will help you organize your financial records, understand your tax responsibilities, become familiar with various tax forms, and file your taxes with confidence. Although primarily designed for sole proprietors, men, women, couples, and others in the community are welcome. Pre-registration is required.

Marketing Mini-Grants
Marketing mini-grants of up to $400 are awarded to microenterprises through a competitive application process. The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.

Customer Service: Focus on what matters
Learn essential techniques to support business growth and sustainability through increased customer satisfaction. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Folsom 203. Pre-registration is required for this free class and space is limited.
