The University of Maine at Presque Isle will serve as the location for a town hall meeting with Senator Mike Carpenter and special guest Senate President Troy Jackson on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Allagash Room of the Campus Center. This town hall is to introduce the Fighting for Maine Agenda and, according to organizers, the premise is simple: Maine people deserve a government that works for them. This includes fixing the health care system, standing up for Maine workers and businesses, providing property tax relief, protecting Maine families, continuing proud Maine traditions, and working towards energy independence. There will be brief comments and an extended Q&A. This event is free and open to the public.
