The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present Homecoming 2025 from Sept. 25 to 28, featuring sporting events, the Snowy Owl Marketplace, a Tap Truck and Food Truck Festival, a Golf Scramble hosted by the Class of 1975, a performance of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown by the County Community Players, and much more! The Reed Art Gallery at the University of Maine at Presque Isle is proud to announce the opening of a dynamic new exhibition showcasing the creative achievements of alumni from UMPI’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program. The exhibition, Roots and Wings: Celebrating the Work of UMPI Fine Arts Alumni will open Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, and remain on view through Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.

One thousand four hundred and eleven students at the University of Maine at Presque Isle have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester, according to Dr. Alana Margeson, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Reed Art Gallery to present tribute exhibition

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Art Gallery is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibition honoring the life and legacy of longtime art patron and collector David Hitchcock. Titled Selections from the Carl and Alice Hitchcock Collection: A Tribute to David Hitchcock, the exhibition will open Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, with a reception from 6-8 p.m. during the Presque Isle First Friday Art Walk.

UMPI hosts 116th Commencement

One thousand two hundred and seventy-eight students graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday, May 10, during the University’s 2025 Commencement Exercises—more than double the number of students who graduated last year and, for the second year in a row, the largest-ever graduating class in the institution’s history.
