University employees must obtain a signed release form from any visibly recognizable person appearing in photos, videos or audio recordings to be used for any University publications or for any marketing or public relations purposes. This includes newsletters, brochures, websites, or any other promotional information that may be distributed by University offices.

Release forms are not needed for public news events or for large crowd images where no one person is the focal point.
