CCNA 1: Introduction to Networks is the first of three courses in Cisco’s CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) curriculum and provides a robust foundation in networking principles. In this course, students will explore topics such as networking architecture, the OSI and TCP/IP models, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, ethernet media and operations, and basic switch and router configurations. Through a combination of hands-on labs, simulations (including Cisco Packet Tracer), interactive modules, and instructor-led demonstrations, participants will gain both theoretical understanding and practical skills. Successful completion of the course awards students a certificate of completion and a digital badge issued by Cisco Systems in conjunction with the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Students who successfully complete all three courses in the progression are eligable for a 58%-off voucher for the CCNA certification exam, an indsutry leading network certification.
