Food insecurity is an issue across the State of Maine; however, many do not realize that it impacts our campus communities as well. From November 26 through December 31, University Credit Union brought attention to the eight University of Maine food pantries that serve students, employees and many others within our campus communities. UCU is pleased to announce that their 2018 Ending Hunger on Campus in Maine campaign raised a total of $12,559.81 in contributions! With UCU matching that amount, a grand total of $25,119.62 has been donated to the campus food pantries on the University of Maine System campuses. They would like to thank everyone that contributed, raised awareness, and made this campaign a success.
