Staying Connected with Alumni and Friends
The mission of the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Office of Alumni Relations and Development is to support the University’s many instructional, research and public service programs through “friend raising”, successful fundraising and alumni activities. We strive to foster a sense of giving and collaboration with the UMPI constituent groups of alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and our greater community. Our goal also is to increase private giving to the University through positive relationships with our alumni, corporations, foundations, our friends and local organizations. We hope to keep our constituencies “connected” to the activities of the University and its students, faculty and staff. We want to maintain a strong two-way communication with our more than 13,000 alumni throughout the state of Maine, the United States, Canada and around the world.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Office of Alumni & Development oversees such essential functions as: Development, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Homecoming, Special Projects, advising the Senior Class and coordinating the AMA Certificate Program (American Management Association). In conjunction with the President’s Office, the colleges and other units of the University, this office has the responsibility for advancing the University’s overall mission through the cultivation and establishment of new relationships, scholarships and the continuance of ongoing relationships. The office of Alumni Relations and Development promotes and encourages the continual growth of the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
