- Human Services Certificate: Whether you’re seeking to advance in your current role, shift careers, or gain foundational skills in social and human services, our online Human Services Certificate will provide with the knowledge and skills to address individual and family issues, and strengthen connections between individuals, family members, and/or members of the community. Coursework includes crisis intervention, case management, ethics, and rehabilitation.
- Coursework towards the Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT/C): Coursework that fulfills the Maine state requirement of the MHRT/C certification is provided through the completion of the UMPI BSW degree or available in Your Pace.
- Gerontology Certificate: UMPI’s online Gerontology Certificate gives you practical skills to work with older adults in healthcare, social services, and community programs. With YourPace’s self-paced format, you can complete your credential quickly and flexibly while advancing your career.
- Graduate Certificate in Special Education: This 12‑credit fully online, competency‑based certificate is for educators and professionals seeking to support diverse learners. Coursework covers Understanding the IEP, Data‑Driven Decision Making, Collaboration & Critical Conversations, and Executive Functioning in Special Education.

- UMF Cannabis Business Certificate: This 20‑credit fully online, competency‑based certificate–a University of Maine at Farmington certificate powered by YourPace at UMPI–prepares students for careers in the Cannabis industry. Coursework covers plant propagation, greenhouse cultivation and management, disease and insect pest management, and extraction and analysis techniques.
- UMF Environmental Studies Certificate: This 18-20 credit fully online, competency‑based certificate–a University of Maine at Farmington certificate powered by YourPace at UMPI–is for professionals seeking to further their education or careers in environmental studies. The program integrates knowledge of socio-ecological systems, local to global environmental solutions, and skills to analyze and communicate solutions to those problems.
- UMF Graduate Certificate in AI in Education: This 15‑credit fully online, competency‑based certificate–a University of Maine at Farmington certificate powered by YourPace at UMPI–is designed for professionals seeking to thoughtfully and ethically integrate AI into teaching, learning, and leadership in educational settings.
- UMF Graduate Certificate in Professional Writing: This 12‑credit fully online, competency‑based certificate–a University of Maine at Farmington certificate powered by YourPace at UMPI–helps you expand and refine workplace writing skills that support advancement, promotion, and career growth.
