We’re located in a small, safe town in rural northern Maine, but you’d be surprised about how much there is to do here. Presque Isle is the hub of Aroostook County, the largest county east of the Mississippi. The City of Presque Isle, population about 9,500, hosts a commercial service airport and daily bus services, its own television and radio stations, and world-class skiing and mountain biking trails. There are lots of multi-purpose trails for you to enjoy.

From our campus, it’s a short walk to Presque Isle’s downtown area, which features shops, restaurants, and a movie theater. Further north is the city’s business district.

Presque Isle is within a short driving distance of many picturesque rural communities and some of the most beautiful, unspoiled wilderness an outdoor enthusiast could ask for. Big Rock, a ski and snowboarding area is nearby, and for those interested in hiking, biking, running, skiing, or paddling, there are many non-motorized trails to explore and outdoor events to enjoy.

There’s so much to experience in our state–from gorgeous beaches to great food and festivals–so be sure to check out the rest of Maine. And keep in mind that Northern Maine shares a border with Canada, providing the opportunity for exciting day and weekend trips to destinations such as Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Quebec City, Quebec, so don’t forget to bring your passport.
