UMPI is pleased to present Camp Invention, the nation’s premier summer enrichment day camp program supported by the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This week-long camp, especially for students in grades 1 through 6, fosters innovation and creativity while also building self-esteem, teamwork, persistence, and goal-setting skills.
We are delighted to have Elaine Hendrickson, the 2001 Maine Teacher of the Year, as our Camp Director for the fifth summer, and we’re welcoming back local educators Halina Herzog and Sarah Sines of Washburn. Supercharge your summer! Travel to the depths of the ocean in DEEP SEA MYSTERY. Design a remote-control bot in DIY ORBOT. Become an engineer to conquer villains in INNOVATION FORCE. Help turn a wasteland into a money-making machine in FARM TECH. For questions about this year’s program, please contact Hendrickson at firstname.lastname@example.org. To register, go to Campinvention.org Be sure to take advantage of the discounts offered.
If you like to make things from parts and pieces of other things, come to camp! Your ideas will turn the ordinary into the extraordinary because, at Camp Invention, your imagination rules!
