The University has been the long-time host for the Young Authors Institute, an event that brings more than 200 local grade-school students and their teachers and parents to campus for a day full of workshops and sessions focused around literature, writing and art.
The Institute is organized by the Aroostook Right to Read, which has a mission to promote literacy encompassing reading, writing, listening, and speaking across the curriculum among students, educators, and parents.
